Stig-Arne Strömberg's late challenge caught a FC Santos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After having played for 54 minutes, Sven-Edvin Jakobsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linghem FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Edvin Jakobsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Nils Dalman notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC Santos's Henning Lundström. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Santos's goalkeeper Henning Lundström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Santos's Henning Lundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Jakobsson in the 73rd minute of play. Nils Dalman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils Dalman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henning Lundström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Pontus Rydelius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henning Lundström was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Sven-Edvin Jakobsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Lundström having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, FC Santos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksander Axelsson to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Edvin Jakobsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
