The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harald Hansson in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sonny Jakobsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brian Borre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jens-Ove Klack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Kaxe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Jens-Ove Klack made a huge save. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Karl Ålberg came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Örnsköldsvik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Ålberg couldn't finish the play. Sonny Jakobsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Ålberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

In the 82nd minute, Harald Hansson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sonny Jakobsson. The goal made the score 0-5. Karl Ålberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sonny Jakobsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl Ålberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Karl Ålberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Sonny Jakobsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Floby IK's Sonny Jakobsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Floby IK from getting a goal against them. After 92 played minutes Floby IK got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Kaxe. Karl Ålberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Jakobsson having to interfere. Örnsköldsvik's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
