After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Freddie Pedersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Örby's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddie Pedersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias Algren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathias Algren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie Pedersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Lagan BF's Mathias Algren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Pedersson in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Freddie Pedersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lagan BF's zone, Freddie Pedersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Algren came out of the goal and Freddie Pedersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fred Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Karlstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, IFK Örby's Tomas Bengtsson got a free kick in the 38th minute. Richard Odén, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Freddie Pedersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Algren having to interfere. Freddie Pedersson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathias Algren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The supporters of Lagan BF booed when IFK Örby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pär Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Martin Karlstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 played minutes IFK Örby got a freekick which was hit by Pär Göransson. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Martin Karlstedt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind IFK Örby's goalkeeper Fred Linquist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Freddie Pedersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Algren having to interfere. A collision led to IFK Örby getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Vilgot Berglund hit a great ball. If Martin Karlstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes, Jonatan Bergqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IFK Örby and the Lagan BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonatan Bergqvist hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. IFK Örby's Fred Linquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save IFK Örby from getting a goal against them. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
