IFK Örby's Fred Linquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save IFK Örby from getting a goal against them. Ivar Unesson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddie Pedersson's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Pedersson in the 30th minute of play forced Dvärsätt RK's goalkeeper Ivar Unesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo Larsson during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Dvärsätt RK got a freekick which was hit by Bo Larsson. Erik Bäckman's late challenge caught a Dvärsätt RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erik Bäckman helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes IFK Örby got a freekick which was hit by Erik Bäckman. Freddie Pedersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivar Unesson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Freddie Pedersson ran back to his position shaking his head. Ivar Unesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Bergqvist in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Freddie Pedersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivar Unesson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Freddie Pedersson to strike the kick off in the second half. Fred Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Olof Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Gösta Berggren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivar Unesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Bengtsson in the 68th minute of the match. Ivar Unesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddie Pedersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 71 minutes Dvärsätt RK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kent Sjöman who took care of the corner kick. IFK Örby's Kent Sjöman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ivar Unesson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jan-Olof Hermansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fred Linquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivar Unesson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pär Göransson went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Gösta Berggren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Linquist having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. IFK Örby had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
