After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Peter Vibjörnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kälarne RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Vibjörnsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Rosen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute August Rosin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Löfgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Hällaström getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Mats Blomkvist hit a great ball. Torsten Löfgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from August Rosin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torsten Löfgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt-Rune Bivall's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Kälarne RK's Torsten Löfgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by August Rosin in the 42nd minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Börge Kilstedt was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Kälarne RK's Peter Vibjörnsson made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Rosen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yngve Holmgren during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hällaström booed when Kälarne RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yngve Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When August Rosin came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Hällaström fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that August Rosin couldn't finish the play. Börge Kilstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Rosen having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Charles Brun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kälarne RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hällaström the free kick. After 92 played minutes Kälarne RK got a freekick which was hit by Charles Brun. Sven-Erik Kråk, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bengt-Rune Bivall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Löfgren having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
