Spectators: 7244 (Terracing: 5434, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) Real Madrid C.F.'s Börje Emander started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Börje Emander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute, Robin Nilsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Madrid C.F. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dick Hylander's late challenge caught a Kälarne RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dick Hylander helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, Real Madrid C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dick Hylander to maneuver through the defense. Dick Hylander kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Robin Nilsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peter Vibjörnsson took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anders Springfält. Anders Springfält dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Real Madrid C.F.'s Börje Emander got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Emander in the 24th minute of play forced Kälarne RK's goalkeeper Torsten Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casper Västerstrand was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 27 minutes into the match. Erling Vestberg shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Börje Emander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Torsten Löfgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torsten Löfgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Emander in the 38th minute of play. When Real Madrid C.F.'s Börje Emander in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kälarne RK's goalie prevented a goal. When Peter Gudmundsson fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kälarne RK's protests and gave Peter Gudmundsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, one of Kälarne RK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kälarne RK. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Real Madrid C.F.. Erling Vestberg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Torsten Löfgren. 1-2. Börje Emander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Löfgren having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

If Yngve Holmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Kälarne RK's goalkeeper Torsten Löfgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robin Nilsson. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Robin Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madrid C.F.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Nilsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torsten Löfgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anders Springfält showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Vibjörnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Peter Vibjörnsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anders Springfält. Real Madrid C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Vibjörnsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 74 minutes into the match, Real Madrid C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Peter Vibjörnsson came free, but Anders Springfält reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Börje Emander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Börje Emander struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Torsten Löfgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Madrid C.F.. After 83 played minutes Kälarne RK got a freekick which was hit by Yngve Holmgren. With his leg Torsten Löfgren managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Real Madrid C.F.'s Robin Nilsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Anders Springfält came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Kälarne RK's Peter Vibjörnsson. But to his dismay, Peter Vibjörnsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After 95 played minutes Kälarne RK got a freekick which was hit by Charles Brun. Kälarne RK's Torsten Löfgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Emander in the 96th minute of play. Torsten Löfgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Emander in the 98th minute of the match.
