Spectators: 7292 (Terracing: 5471, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 144) Elof Dalman started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Bernt Vibjörnsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olov Lundin's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Bernt Vibjörnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petter Norberg in the 6th minute of play. After 7 played minutes Simsalabim FC got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Njurenius. Birger Ek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elof Dalman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Petter Norberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bernt Vibjörnsson. Petter Norberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petter Norberg in the 20th minute of play forced Simsalabim FC's goalkeeper Bernt Vibjörnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birger Ek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elof Dalman in the 35th minute of play. Jörn Falck took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernt Vibjörnsson. Bernt Vibjörnsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Petter Norberg made the kick off in the second half. Petter Norberg scored 3-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernt Vibjörnsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alf Tomasson kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hobsala FF's zone, Elof Dalman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Ek came out of the goal and Elof Dalman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Simsalabim FC's goalkeeper Bernt Vibjörnsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elof Dalman in the 76th minute of play forced Hobsala FF's goalkeeper Birger Ek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Petter Norberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Vibjörnsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Elof Dalman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Douglas Njurenius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simsalabim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Njurenius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 99 minutes into the match, Hobsala FF's goal looked a bit too open when Elof Dalman came free, but Birger Ek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hobsala FF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Simsalabim FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
