Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Petter Norberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Sandell in the 3rd minute of play forced Hobsala FF's goalkeeper Birger Ek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute, Herbert Sjögren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Väja's goal looked a bit too open when Jörn Falck came free, but Peter Willig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Håkan Sandell came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Väja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Håkan Sandell couldn't finish the play. Sören Lindström's late challenge caught a Väja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sören Lindström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, Hobsala FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sören Lindström to maneuver through the defense. Håkan Sandells short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Birger Ek to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Peter Willig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Lundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter Willig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Falck, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Håkan Sandell in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Birger Ek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Håkan Sandell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Väja's goalkeeper Peter Willig, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Petter Norberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Willig. Väja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petter Norberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Alf Tomasson kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 38 minutes, Ian Glad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Väja and the Hobsala FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Väja got a freekick which was hit by Ian Glad. If Petter Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walter Billock's late challenge caught a Hobsala FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walter Billock helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hobsala FF booed when Väja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Billock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peter Willig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Falck in the 45th minute of play. With a little luck, Hobsala FF's Birger Ek got control of the ball when Håkan Sandell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Håkan Sandell made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Hobsala FF got a freekick which was hit by Alf Tomasson. A hard shot 54 in the game by Jörn Falck from a close distance when the talented Peter Willig managed to make a qualified save. Väja's players were relieved. In the 57th minute, Jimmie Kråk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Birger Ek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmie Kråk in the 59th minute of play. Väja's Peter Willig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petter Norberg in the 62nd minute of play. Peter Willig made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Jörn Falck sent off a good shot on target. If Jörn Falck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Håkan Sandell in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Birger Ek saved Hobsala FF from getting behind. Peter Willig was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Jörn Falck capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jörn Falck really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Birger Ek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmie Kråk in the 78th minute of play. The supporters of Väja booed when Hobsala FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petter Norberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 81 played minutes, Väja's Aaron Bergström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Birger Ek came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Väja reached it. The supporters of Väja booed when Hobsala FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Westerstrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birger Ek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Bodin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Håkan Sandell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Birger Ek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hobsala FF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
