In the 39th minute, Herbert Gustavsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Valentin Ambjörnsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kjell-Arne Bergström was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Valentin Ambjörnssons short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Kjell-Arne Bergström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. During the 79th minute of the match Herbert Gustavsson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Herbert Gustavsson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 80th minute, Herbert Gustavsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Ambjörnsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Kjell-Arne Bergström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The AC Järna manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Forfar FC to win.
