After a defensive mix-up in Olympic Impressa's zone, Egon Lang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Jonasson came out of the goal and Egon Lang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Egon Lang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Jonasson having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Sven-Oskar Sundin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Råttan and the Olympic Impressa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes, Olympic Impressa's Rune Almqvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Richard Lindholm came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Olympic Impressa reached it. If Douglas Apelkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Olympic Impressa's goalkeeper Mark Jonasson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglas Apelkvist. If Ulrik Pihlblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Olympic Impressa fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Olympic Impressa's Orvar Lundkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 42nd minute Orvar Lundkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Lindholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FC Råttan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Olympic Impressa were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orvar Lundkvist to make the kick off. Olympic Impressa's Orvar Lundkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Egon Lang, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 56 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Mark Jonasson was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 59th minute Douglas Apelkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Jonasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Jonasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egon Lang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orvar Lundkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Lindholm having to interfere. If Ulrik Pihlblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mark Jonasson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Apelkvist's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Richard Lindholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvar Lundkvist in the 90th minute of play. Egon Lang's late challenge caught a Olympic Impressa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egon Lang helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Råttan's Egon Lang got a free kick in the 91st minute. The FC Råttan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Olympic Impressa's performance. The match ended with a win for Olympic Impressa.
