Spectators: 7300 (Terracing: 5477, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Kåre Sigfridsson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Martin Nyman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Sigfridsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Häger kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Kåre Sigfridsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georg Häger didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Kvicksund IK's goalkeeper Bernt Hansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mattias Örtendahl. After a defensive mix-up in Cagliari Calcio's zone, Kåre Sigfridsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Nyman came out of the goal and Kåre Sigfridsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kåre Sigfridsson in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Nyman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 42 minutes, Rutger Bäckström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kvicksund IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rutger Bäckström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bertil Svanér to strike the kick off in the second half. Kåre Sigfridsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sonny Falkrans during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Sonny Falkrans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rutger Bäckström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Martin Nyman made a huge save. Bertil Svanér sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jens-Erik Holmberg kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cagliari Calcio's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ragnar Grönlund was slow to take the kick. During this time Kvicksund IK's players had a chance to rest. Sonny Falkrans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kåre Sigfridsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Arvid Östman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rutger Bäckström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Nyman having to interfere. Rutger Bäckström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
