Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kåre Sigfridsson started the match with the kick off. Uno Nyberg made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Rutger Bäckström sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes into the game, Bengt-Rune Falkrantz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malmö FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kvicksund IK the free kick. The supporters of Kvicksund IK booed when Malmö FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Rune Falkrantz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uno Nyberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kåre Sigfridsson in the 13th minute of the match. Malmö FF's Uno Nyberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Malmö FF from getting a goal against them. Felix Nordström charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Nordström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Malmö FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Nordström to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 24 minutes, Kåre Sigfridsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kvicksund IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kåre Sigfridsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Alexander Lundström fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kvicksund IK's protests and gave Alexander Lundström a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Kvicksund IK got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Lundström. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Malmö FF's goalkeeper Uno Nyberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kvicksund IK's Kåre Sigfridsson got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Malmö FF's Uno Nyberg got control of the ball when Kåre Sigfridsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Malmö FF's Simon Helström got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rickard Kvarnström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernt Hansson having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rickard Kvarnström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rutger Bäckström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Malmö FF's goalkeeper Uno Nyberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Simon Helström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Bernt Hansson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Uno Nyberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rutger Bäckström's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 73rdth minute of the game Kåre Sigfridsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malmö FF's Uno Nyberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Uno Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rutger Bäckström in the 80th minute of play. Kåre Sigfridsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uno Nyberg came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Kvicksund IK's Kåre Sigfridsson. But to his dismay, Kåre Sigfridsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 90 minutes into the match, Malmö FF's goal looked a bit too open when Rutger Bäckström came free, but Uno Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uno Nyberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kåre Sigfridsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 94 minutes of play Kvicksund IK's Alexander Lundström was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Alexander Lundström kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Simon Helström might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernt Hansson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Helström ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kvicksund IK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Malmö FF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
