Spectators: 6674 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leo Harlén took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Leo Harlén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ted Falck made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Carl Beck sent off a good shot on target. Carl Beck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ted Falck made a huge save. Vilhelm Hjortsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Harlén in the 17th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Sävsjö BF's Olof Nordkvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. If Carl Beck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gottfrid Brummer, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Olof Nordkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Falck having to interfere. Leo Harlén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olof Nordkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 46 played minutes Sävsjö BF got a freekick which was hit by Richard Dahlberg. Yngve Holm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Vilhelm Hjortsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olof Nordkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Harlén in the 53rd minute of play forced Sävsjö BF's goalkeeper Vilhelm Hjortsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilhelm Hjortsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Harlén in the 54th minute of play. Ted Falck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Nordkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Alf Torstensson hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Ted Falck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Beck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 played minutes Gamleby got a freekick which was hit by Eric Vallengren. The supporters of Gamleby booed when Sävsjö BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Glanselius didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Olof Nordkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Felix Rosendahl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gamleby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sävsjö BF the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Gamleby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Rosendahl to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Harlén in the 79th minute of play forced Sävsjö BF's goalkeeper Vilhelm Hjortsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leif Albohm charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leif Albohm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 85 minutes in the game, Leo Harlén fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vilhelm Hjortsberg having to interfere. When Viktor Glanselius fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sävsjö BF's protests and gave Viktor Glanselius a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gamleby booed when Sävsjö BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Glanselius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bengt-Rune Ekelund hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Gottfrid Brummer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
