Spectators: 7092 (Terracing: 5428, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 0) Järpås's Örjan Rosin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 12 minutes into the game, Patric Hernström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Freddie Karlsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Karl Gustafsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Bengt-Arne Brandt made a huge save. Karl Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Arne Brandt having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Örjan Rosin in the 20th minute of play forced Hillared's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Brandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harald Carlsson kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. With his leg Bengt-Arne Brandt managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Järpås's Karl Gustafsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Örjan Rosin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Bengt-Arne Brandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Harald Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Järpås defense, Harald Carlsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddie Karlsson. The Järpås fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddie Karlsson should have stopped the shot. Karl Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Bengt-Arne Brandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Örjan Rosin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Hillared's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Brandt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Gustafsson. After having played for 45 minutes, Karl Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Järpås's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Gustafsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Arne Brandt having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patric Hernström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Arne Brandt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Nyström in the 52nd minute of play. Järpås's Freddie Karlsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Järpås from getting a goal against them. Patric Hernström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddie Karlsson came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hillared's Harald Carlsson. But to his dismay, Harald Carlsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Kim Lundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Bengt-Arne Brandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Järpås's Karl Gustafsson got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd match minute, Hillared was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Glad to maneuver through the defense. Karl Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Arne Brandt having to interfere. Patric Hernström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Järpås's Freddie Karlsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Järpås from getting a goal against them. Hillared's Harald Carlsson got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Harald Carlsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Freddie Karlsson however easily saved by the left post. 92 minutes into the game, Järpås's Örjan Rosin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt-Arne Brandt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Sten Kruuse hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Jimmie Linberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bengt-Arne Brandt. Hillared's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hillared walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
