In the 13th minute of the match Magnus Björkman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wiktor Viberg skillfully saved the ball. Kim Pilgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Svensson in the 24th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Christer Gustafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiktor Viberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sebastian Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bergby IK booed when Söderkisarnas TFF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sivert Bure didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jarl Bolin to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Bergby IK's zone, Bror Åhlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kim Pilgren came out of the goal and Bror Åhlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gert Stigsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Bergby IK's goal looked a bit too open when Bror Åhlberg came free, but Kim Pilgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Söderkisarnas TFF booed when Bergby IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magnus Björkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Söderkisarnas TFF's Carl Berglund in action when he in the 65th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The audience was convinced that Bror Åhlberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kim Pilgren was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. 71 minutes into the match, Söderkisarnas TFF's goalkeeper Wiktor Viberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christer Gustafsson. Bror Åhlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Kim Pilgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Söderkisarnas TFF's Wiktor Viberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Söderkisarnas TFF from getting a goal against them. When Christer Gustafsson came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Bergby IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christer Gustafsson couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, Bergby IK's Christer Gustafsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wiktor Viberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christer Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiktor Viberg having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
