The supporters of Lödöse booed when Nyalyckan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikael Gernberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kjell Bern was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 31st minute of the match, Rutger Rönn tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Stig Sillén saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Henning Sundén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Elg having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Stig-Arne Bergvall made a precise shot to the right of Stig Sillén. Lödöse's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 42 played minutes Lödöse got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Erik Örtlund. Joseph Elg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henning Sundén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henning Sundén was the one to do the kick off. Jakob Svensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute Henning Sundén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Elg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Nyalyckan's Joseph Elg got control of the ball when Jakob Svensson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Kjell Bern managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lödöse's supporters rose to their feet, but Kjell Bern was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joseph Elg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stig-Arne Bergvall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Sillén having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
