When Kjell Frisk came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Larsakongos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kjell Frisk couldn't finish the play. After 31 played minutes, Larsakongos's Tony Sigman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anders Örnberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Larsakongos reached it. David Kjellkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Örnberg having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Larsakongos's Anders Örnberg threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kjell Frisk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Victor Grönlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kjell Frisk to make the kick off. Larsakongos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Frisk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
