Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Stig-Åke Pihlblad made the kick off and thus started the match. Kalle Lindström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Vilgot Lidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 6 played minutes Horn RK got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Asserlindh. In the 6th minute, Joacim Söderberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horn RK's Vilgot Lidman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Pihlblad in the 8th minute of play. Kalle Lindström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Vilgot Lidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute of the match Torpshammar FK got a corner. Horn RK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joacim Söderberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Torpshammar FK's Olof Groth was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vilgot Lidman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stig-Åke Pihlblad in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vilgot Lidman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Lindström in the 21st minute of play forced Horn RK's goalkeeper Vilgot Lidman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torbjörn Olsson hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 26 minutes of play, Torpshammar FK's Stig-Åke Pihlblad made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vilgot Lidman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vilgot Lidman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Åke Pihlblad, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 43rd match minute, Torpshammar FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Folke Bjurström to maneuver through the defense. Calle Andreasson's shot from long distance in the 44th minute was not bad at all, but Torpshammar FK's Claes Blomqvist knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post.

Kalle Lindström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michael Lind kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Nordal in the 73rd minute of play forced Torpshammar FK's goalkeeper Claes Blomqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elof Snell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dag Sandström came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Torpshammar FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dag Sandström couldn't finish the play. If Kalle Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Åke Pihlblad in the 83rd minute of play forced Horn RK's goalkeeper Vilgot Lidman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Stig-Åke Pihlblad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vilgot Lidman was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. When Torpshammar FK's Stig-Åke Pihlblad in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 96 played minutes, Horn RK's Calle Andreasson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Claes Blomqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Horn RK reached it.
