Dennis Mellbad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Börje Arvidsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. With a little luck, Uppsala's Börje Arvidsson got control of the ball when Dennis Mellbad tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Zebastian Ånger fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uppsala's protests and gave Zebastian Ånger a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Uppsala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zebastian Ånger to maneuver through the defense. If Dennis Mellbad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Uppsala got a freekick which was hit by Kim Åström. In the 11th minute, Wictor Mager hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Dyslexia Untied's Hans Hedlund broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dennis Mellbad struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Börje Arvidsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dyslexia Untied. 15 minutes into the match, Uppsala's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Sandell came free, but Börje Arvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Svante Simonsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fritz Arhenius's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Sune Magnusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Gunnar Sandell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dyslexia Untied's supporters rose to their feet, but Gunnar Sandell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Börje Arvidsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, Dyslexia Untied's Gunnar Sandell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Börje Arvidsson. Börje Arvidsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Svante Simonsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wictor Mager, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Uppsala's Sune Magnusson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Svante Simonsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dennis Mellbad came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Börje Arvidsson could save by the left post. 36 minutes into the game, Dennis Mellbad recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Börje Arvidsson. Dennis Mellbad showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Fritz Arhenius took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Svante Simonsson. Svante Simonsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 48 minutes into the match, Uppsala's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Sandell came free, but Börje Arvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Alex Ahlbom blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Börje Arvidsson having to make a save. When Gunnar Sandell fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dyslexia Untied's protests and gave Gunnar Sandell a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Uppsala booed when Dyslexia Untied was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Sandell didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Bror Samuelsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dyslexia Untied's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uppsala the free kick. A collision led to Dyslexia Untied getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Bror Samuelsson hit a great ball. Fritz Arhenius struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Svante Simonsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uppsala. The audience was convinced that Dennis Mellbad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Börje Arvidsson was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. After 71 minutes of play Uppsala's Zebastian Ånger was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 72nd match minute, Uppsala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zebastian Ånger to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 77 minutes, Kim Åström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uppsala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kim Åström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fritz Arhenius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gunnar Sandell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Uppsala's zone, Gunnar Sandell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Börje Arvidsson came out of the goal and Gunnar Sandell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Dyslexia Untied booed when Uppsala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sune Magnusson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Dyslexia Untied's Gunnar Sandell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Börje Arvidsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dyslexia Untied fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uppsala had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
