The supporters of Skärholmen booed when Uppsala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Åström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils Nordstedt took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Börje Arvidsson. Börje Arvidsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 12th minute, Göran Alén made a precise shot to the right of Börje Arvidsson. Uppsala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Örjan Lund made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Fritz Arhenius sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Skärholmen getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Konrad Sjögren hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, Nils Nordstedt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Börje Arvidsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the game, Sune Bergström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uppsala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skärholmen the free kick. If Nils Nordstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uppsala's Börje Arvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Nordstedt in the 34th minute of play. Börje Arvidsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Alén, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Göran Alén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Börje Arvidsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tim Sigman charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tim Sigman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tim Sigman hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Sune Magnusson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Örjan Lund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Börje Arvidsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göran Alén's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Uppsala's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nils Nordstedt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Uppsala's Börje Arvidsson got control of the ball when Nils Nordstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uppsala's Börje Arvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Alén in the 59th minute of play. Göran Alén struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Börje Arvidsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skärholmen. Göran Alén scored 1-6 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Börje Arvidsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 69 minutes into the match, Skärholmen's Göran Alén sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Börje Arvidsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Göran Alén managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skärholmen's supporters rose to their feet, but Göran Alén was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Börje Arvidsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils Nordstedt got free with Börje Arvidsson in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Göran Alén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Börje Arvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79th play minutes Nils Nordstedt shot 2-7, a short shot which went by Börje Arvidsson and just under the crossbar into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Göran Alén in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Börje Arvidsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 87 minutes into the match, Uppsala's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Alén came free, but Börje Arvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Börje Arvidsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Alén, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute, Skärholmen's Göran Alén ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Börje Arvidsson. Börje Arvidsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Alén in the 95th minute of play forced Uppsala's goalkeeper Börje Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skärholmen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
