In the 20th minute, Krister Olofsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Wiklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Strömqvist having to interfere. When Dag Gummeson came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Sjovvan United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dag Gummeson couldn't finish the play. Dag Gummeson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Karl-Erik Valrot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Edvin Myhr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sjovvan United FC's Bengt Fridlund got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Robin Lindström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven-Edvin Myhr skillfully saved the ball. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sjovvan United FC's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Myhr, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Emanuel Wiklund made the kick off in the second half. Karl-Erik Valrot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Sven-Edvin Myhr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kjell-Arne Vidman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Krister Olofsson hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Norrahammar's zone, Dag Gummeson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Strömqvist came out of the goal and Dag Gummeson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Kjell-Arne Vidman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kjell-Arne Vidman struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Sven-Edvin Myhr didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Norrahammar. Karl-Erik Valrot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Sven-Edvin Myhr made a huge save. Kjell-Arne Vidman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Norrahammar booed when Sjovvan United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Engman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bengt Fridlund fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sjovvan United FC's protests and gave Bengt Fridlund a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sjovvan United FC! In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Norrahammar. Robin Lindström stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sven-Edvin Myhr. 0-3. In the 96th minute, Kjell-Arne Vidman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stefan Norström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sven-Edvin Myhr. Sjovvan United FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Sjovvan United FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Norrahammar's performance. The match ended with a win for Norrahammar.
