Spectators: 7259 (Terracing: 5446, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kurt Hylander kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes, TRELLEBORGS FF's Karl-Michael Täman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Håkan Lövskog came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in TRELLEBORGS FF reached it. Hubert Sjöö recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Kurt Hylander notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Jämshög's Håkan Lövskog. Håkan Lövskog was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of TRELLEBORGS FF booed when Jämshög was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Tillman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The attack was good, but when Hubert Sjöö in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience was convinced that Kurt Hylander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Håkan Lövskog was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Björn Linqvist's late challenge caught a TRELLEBORGS FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Björn Linqvist helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jämshög fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! The referee gave TRELLEBORGS FF a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sture Arhenius, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jämshög's Håkan Lövskog. 0-2. Håkan Lövskog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubert Sjöö in the 21st minute of the match. Kurt Hylander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Håkan Lövskog took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubert Sjöö, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joakim Igelström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mattias Molin having to make a save. Håkan Lövskog came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by TRELLEBORGS FF's Hubert Sjöö. But to his dismay, Hubert Sjöö quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 43rd play minute Stig Stenqvist came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mattias Molin. 1-3. Mattias Molin made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Valrot in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joakim Igelström was the one to do the kick off. Mattias Molin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig Stenqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mattias Molin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig Stenqvist's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Kurt Hylander might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Håkan Lövskog. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Hylander ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Jämshög's Sven-Arne Hammarström got a free kick in the 78th minute. Kurt Hylander might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Håkan Lövskog. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Hylander ran back to his position shaking his head. Stig Stenqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Mattias Molin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Joakim Igelström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joakim Igelström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, TRELLEBORGS FF's Dick Vennerström got a free kick in the 89th minute.
