The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peder Allbom spun around in front of the goal 3 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Stehags FF's goal. When Stig-Arne Byström fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stehags FF's protests and gave Stig-Arne Byström a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Stehags FF got a freekick which was hit by Stig-Arne Byström. Per-Erik Sundström hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stehags FF's goalkeeper Mattias Danielsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mattias Danielsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peder Allbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Stehags FF's zone, Börje Törnblom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Danielsson came out of the goal and Börje Törnblom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Börje Törnblom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Stehags FF booed when Tvärålund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Bäckman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Börje Törnblom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th match minute, Stehags FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Arne Byström to maneuver through the defense. Allan Forss made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Per-Erik Sundström sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Tvärålund's Leonard Bäckman got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Leonard Bäckman off the ground. Stehags FF's Karl-Axel Hultstrand got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Per-Erik Sundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Allan Forss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Börje Törnblom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Danielsson having to interfere. Allan Forss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Axel Hultstrand in the 92nd minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Tvärålund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Bratt to maneuver through the defense. Börje Törnblom's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Mattias Danielsson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tvärålund were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
