Calle Hökqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Folke Lidman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Magne Hellqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Folke Lidman. B-ås FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magne Hellqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Calle Hökqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Folke Lidman was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Jan-Åke Holmstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Lindsten, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Folke Lidman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Hökqvist in the 21st minute of play. Magne Hellqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Folke Lidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Folke Lidman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calle Hökqvist in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to B-ås FK getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Simon Forsberg hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes Älmhults IF got a freekick which was hit by Börje Brandin. In the 32nd minute, Calle Hökqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th match minute, Älmhults IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stellan Dahlberg to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Älmhults IF's Jan-Åke Holmstedt got control of the ball when Rikard Löfskog tried to sneak it across the goal line. B-ås FK's Folke Lidman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calle Hökqvist in the 39th minute of play. Folke Lidman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calle Hökqvist in the 41st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calle Hökqvist in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Folke Lidman saved B-ås FK from getting behind. Älmhults IF's Magne Hellqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calle Hökqvist was the one to do the kick off. Folke Lidman was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Calle Hökqvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Calle Hökqvist really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Calle Hökqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Folke Lidman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Calle Hökqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. If Börje Brandin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 57 minutes into the match, Älmhults IF's Calle Hökqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Folke Lidman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 58 played minutes B-ås FK got a freekick which was hit by Anders Åkesson. Kalle Ryberg's late challenge caught a B-ås FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kalle Ryberg helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of B-ås FK booed when Älmhults IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kalle Ryberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in B-ås FK's zone, Calle Hökqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folke Lidman came out of the goal and Calle Hökqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 minutes of play, Älmhults IF's Magne Hellqvist made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Folke Lidman was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the match, Gustaf Svanberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan-Åke Holmstedt. Älmhults IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaf Svanberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. B-ås FK's Folke Lidman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save B-ås FK from getting a goal against them. Hampus Bagge's late challenge caught a B-ås FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hampus Bagge helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of B-ås FK booed when Älmhults IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. A hard shot 96 in the game by Calle Hökqvist from a close distance when the talented Folke Lidman managed to make a qualified save. B-ås FK's players were relieved. The B-ås FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Älmhults IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
