Sverker Petersson's late challenge caught a Tjällmo IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The tension between the Hönö and the Tjällmo IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hönö getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Sverker Petersson hit a great ball. Ture Carlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Fridlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Ture Carlsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tjällmo IFK. Sven-Olof Malmgren came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ture Carlsson could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Hönö's Stig-Arne Hedman got a free kick in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Sven-Olof Malmgren notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hönö's Ture Carlsson. Ture Carlsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ture Carlsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Olof Malmgren in the 42nd minute. Rolf Fridlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ture Carlsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. Elias Klementsson came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Hönö's Ove Fagrell. But to his dismay, Ove Fagrell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Rolf Fridlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ture Carlsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Hönö's goal looked a bit too open when Rolf Fridlund came free, but Ture Carlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tjällmo IFK's Sven-Olof Malmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Fridlund in the 88th minute of play forced Hönö's goalkeeper Ture Carlsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Olof Malmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hönö's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
