Rolf Fridlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Stig-Ove Fernkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nils-Åke Springfält hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Stig-Ove Fernkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Olof Malmgren went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Sven-Olof Malmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27thth minute of the game Rolf Fridlund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nygård IK's Stig-Ove Fernkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Nygård IK's Stig-Ove Fernkvist got control of the ball when Sven-Olof Malmgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rolf Fridlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Christian Dahlqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Nygård IK. Yngve Björkdal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Elias Klementsson. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Rolf Fridlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Ove Fernkvist having to interfere. If Sven-Olof Malmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Sven-Olof Malmgren made a precise shot to the right of Stig-Ove Fernkvist. Nygård IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. A collision led to Tjällmo IFK getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jesper Hasselqvist hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Rolf Fridlund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stig-Ove Fernkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 70 minutes into the match, Rolf Fridlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stig-Ove Fernkvist. Nygård IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rolf Fridlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Sven-Olof Malmgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stig-Ove Fernkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Olof Malmgren ran back to his position shaking his head. When Rolf Fridlund came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Tjällmo IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolf Fridlund couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute of the game, Sture Bruhn landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Richard Eskilsson's late challenge caught a Nygård IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Eskilsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes Tjällmo IFK got a freekick which was hit by Richard Eskilsson. After having played for 86 minutes, Rolf Fridlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tjällmo IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolf Fridlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard Eskilsson hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Christian Dahlqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Klementsson having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tjällmo IFK had played much better football throughout.
