Dan Andersson came out of the goal and Harald Hellström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Wictor Hääger came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Brynäs IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wictor Hääger couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Brynäs IF booed when Rocketpeople was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Ove Biörkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kasper Dahlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dan Andersson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wictor Hääger in the 25th minute. Jan-Ove Biörkman got his second yellow card in the match during the 25th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 26th minute, Jan-Ove Biörkman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kasper Dahlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Andersson having to interfere. A collision led to Brynäs IF getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Åke Rudberg hit a great ball. Wictor Hääger's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Dan Andersson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dan Andersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasper Dahlberg in the 36th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wictor Hääger was the one to do the kick off. Kasper Dahlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Åke Rudberg struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Dan Andersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brynäs IF. Dan Andersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasper Dahlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Rocketpeople getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Paul Finman hit a great ball. Åke Rudberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Dan Andersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Paul Finman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. Dan Andersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joacim Arenius hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Wictor Hääger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dan Andersson was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Wictor Hääger might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Andersson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wictor Hääger ran back to his position shaking his head. Åke Rudberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Dan Andersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Brynäs IF fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Brynäs IF's Åke Rudberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Harald Hellström's late challenge caught a Rocketpeople's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harald Hellström helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Brynäs IF's Harald Hellström got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Rocketpeople booed when Brynäs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harald Hellström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kasper Dahlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wictor Hääger in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Andersson saved Rocketpeople from getting behind. There was no doubt that Brynäs IF were the better team. Brynäs IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
