Spectators: 7300 (Terracing: 5477, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hjalmar Edström kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the game, Björn Törnqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ulf Sandell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Tommy Trillkott fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Röda Djävlar FC's protests and gave Tommy Trillkott a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Gottfrid Säfström took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Christer Groth to make any attempt to save it. Patrik Falkrantz might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulf Sandell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patrik Falkrantz ran back to his position shaking his head. Ulf Sandell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Falkrantz in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Röda Djävlar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Måns Knutsson to maneuver through the defense. Christer Groth acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 22nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roger Ekström. In the 24th minute, Tommy Trillkott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conny Palmkvist in the 28th minute of play forced Röda Djävlar FC's goalkeeper Christer Groth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Patrik Falkrantz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Röda Djävlar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrik Falkrantz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulf Sandell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Patrik Falkrantz came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Röda Djävlar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrik Falkrantz couldn't finish the play. When Jan Brodin fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Röda Djävlar FC's protests and gave Jan Brodin a yellow card for diving instead. Jan Brodin hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrik Falkrantz to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Bovallstrand's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Törnqvist came free, but Ulf Sandell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Björn Törnqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Ulf Sandell made a huge save. Patrik Falkrantz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ulf Sandell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrik Falkrantz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Ulf Sandell made a huge save. Ulf Sandell made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Björn Törnqvist sent off a good shot on target. Christer Groth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hjalmar Edström in the 72nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bovallstrand's Conny Palmkvist got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Rickard Stålberg's late challenge caught a Röda Djävlar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rickard Stålberg helped the player get up and apologised. Björn Törnqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ulf Sandell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bovallstrand's zone, Patrik Falkrantz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulf Sandell came out of the goal and Patrik Falkrantz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute, Kent Widberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulf Sandell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Björn Törnqvist struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Ulf Sandell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Röda Djävlar FC. Björn Törnqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Röda Djävlar FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Björn Törnqvist hit a great ball. The Bovallstrand supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Röda Djävlar FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Röda Djävlar FC.
