The supporters of Brandstorp IF booed when CSKA Göteborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Villiam Abrahamsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brandstorp IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joakim Glad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Markus Uggla struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Birger Beneth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSKA Göteborg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Uggla in the 41st minute of play forced Brandstorp IF's goalkeeper Birger Beneth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Holm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Holm was the one to do the kick off. The referee showed Tommy Aleberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Brandstorp IF's Joakim Glad got a free kick in the 76th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Markus Uggla got free with Birger Beneth in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Markus Uggla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Birger Beneth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Markus Uggla's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Birger Beneth firmly grabbed it by the left post. Markus Uggla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Beneth having to interfere.
