The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Michael Bäcklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Söderlund in the 8th minute of play forced Brandstorp IF's goalkeeper Birger Beneth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Bäcklin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Birger Beneth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niklas Söderlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Beneth having to interfere. With a little luck, Brandstorp IF's Birger Beneth got control of the ball when Michael Bäcklin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Niklas Söderlund struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Birger Beneth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dikanäs. Birger Beneth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michael Bäcklin went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Niklas Söderlund was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Brandstorp IF's Birger Beneth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Söderlund in the 32nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Dikanäs's Niklas Söderlund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Birger Beneth. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. In the 37th minute, Ivar Wahlnäs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dikanäs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Niklas Söderlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niklas Söderlund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Dikanäs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Wahlnäs to maneuver through the defense. Birger Beneth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Bäcklin in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Klas Pettersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brandstorp IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dikanäs the free kick. After 54 played minutes Brandstorp IF got a freekick which was hit by Klas Pettersson. When Niklas Söderlund came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Dikanäs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niklas Söderlund couldn't finish the play. Brandstorp IF's Birger Beneth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Bäcklin in the 61st minute of play. Birger Beneth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Söderlund in the 62nd minute of the match. Birger Beneth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Bäcklin, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Niklas Söderlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Niklas Söderlund sped through Brandstorp IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Birger Beneth. Klas Pettersson struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Johan Fogel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brandstorp IF. Birger Beneth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Bäcklin, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Niklas Söderlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Birger Beneth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Bäcklin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Birger Beneth having to make a save. If Niklas Söderlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Dikanäs were the better team. Dikanäs's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
