Jan-Åke Söder came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Löddeköpinge's Knut Söderberg. But to his dismay, Knut Söderberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Anfield Wonder Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Söderberg came free, but Jan-Åke Söder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Lidman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Jan-Åke Söder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22ndth minute of the game Knut Söderberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anfield Wonder Boys's Jan-Åke Söder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ingemar Rolandsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erland Bergstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 minutes, Karl-Magnus Bokelund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anfield Wonder Boys and the Löddeköpinge players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Anfield Wonder Boys got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Magnus Bokelund. An unexpectedly hard shot by Knut Söderberg in the 37th minute of play forced Anfield Wonder Boys's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Söder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Knut Söderberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Söder having to interfere. Anfield Wonder Boys's Jan-Åke Söder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Lidman in the 41st minute of play. Jan-Åke Söder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Söderberg in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Knut Söderberg made a kick off. A collision led to Anfield Wonder Boys getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Karl-Magnus Bokelund hit a great ball. Jan-Åke Söder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Lidman in the 54th minute. Jan-Åke Söder made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Tony Lidman sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Tony Lidman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tony Lidman got free with Jan-Åke Söder in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 68 minutes, Valentin Bolin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anfield Wonder Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Bolin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rolf Askberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jan-Åke Söder. Anfield Wonder Boys's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Anfield Wonder Boys's Jan-Åke Söder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Anfield Wonder Boys from getting a goal against them. Tony Lidman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jan-Åke Söder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Åke Söder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Lidman in the 78th minute. Erland Bergstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valentin Bolin might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ingemar Rolandsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valentin Bolin ran back to his position shaking his head. Ingemar Rolandsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erland Bergstedt in the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Tony Lidman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Löddeköpinge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Lidman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
