The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kenny Esbjörnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Eskil Hellgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Benjamin Magnusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kenny Esbjörnsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Eskil Hellgren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jörn Skog hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Johnny Enegren took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Örjan Nyberg. Örjan Nyberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Kenny Esbjörnsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eskil Hellgren having to make a save. When Sören Sjöström fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kinnarumma FK's protests and gave Sören Sjöström a yellow card for diving instead. Sören Sjöström hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Kenny Esbjörnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kenny Esbjörnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonatan Bruhn hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, one of eskilstuna GB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for eskilstuna GB.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johnny Enegren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When eskilstuna GB's Kenny Esbjörnsson in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Örjan Nyberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Magnusson in the 87th minute. eskilstuna GB's Örjan Nyberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Enegren in the 89th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kenny Esbjörnsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eskil Hellgren was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. Gunnar Pilblad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 101st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chants of Kinnarumma FK echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as eskilstuna GB had held the ball for most of the match.
