After some careless play in the Kakujin FF defense, Ove Linquist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Torgny Tidéksson. The Kakujin FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Torgny Tidéksson should have stopped the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Göran Hammarbäck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conny Westerstrand. Karlstad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Göran Hammarbäck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, Karlstad's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Martinsson came free, but Conny Westerstrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Linquist in the 20th minute of play forced Kakujin FF's goalkeeper Torgny Tidéksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Martinsson's late challenge caught a Karlstad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Martinsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Karlstad booed when Kakujin FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Martinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kakujin FF were furious when Valdemar Bjurström was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kakujin FF! In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Karlstad. Dennis Stenström stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Torgny Tidéksson. 1-2. 31 minutes into the match, Henrik Aleberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Torgny Tidéksson. Kakujin FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henrik Aleberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Torgny Tidéksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ove Linquist in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Ove Linquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torgny Tidéksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Kakujin FF's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Aleberg came free, but Torgny Tidéksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conny Westerstrand made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Adrian Martinsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute, Ove Linquist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karlstad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

When Göran Hammarbäck fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kakujin FF's protests and gave Göran Hammarbäck a yellow card for diving instead. 60 minutes in the game Joachim Frykberg did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Casper Bergkvist. Åke Vennerberg struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Conny Westerstrand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kakujin FF. In the 69th match minute, Karlstad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kim Walmarsson to maneuver through the defense. Conny Westerstrand came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Kakujin FF's Åke Vennerberg. But to his dismay, Åke Vennerberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. If Ove Linquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrik Aleberg got free with Torgny Tidéksson in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Ove Linquist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torgny Tidéksson was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the match, Kakujin FF's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Linquist came free, but Torgny Tidéksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torgny Tidéksson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrik Aleberg in the 91st minute. A collision led to Kakujin FF getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Joakim Tomasson hit a great ball. Kakujin FF's Torgny Tidéksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Linquist in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Karlstad left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kakujin FF.
