Borås AIK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arlöv the free kick. Linus Helberg hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Thomas Vibjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Blomqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Arlöv's Stellan Beneth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gunnar Blomqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Kasper Falkrans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Blomqvist having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Arlöv got a freekick which was hit by Ludvig Utter. If Stellan Beneth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borås AIK's goalkeeper Gunnar Blomqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 34 in the game by Stellan Beneth from a close distance when the talented Gunnar Blomqvist managed to make a qualified save. Borås AIK's players were relieved. Ludvig Utter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gunnar Blomqvist came out and tried to block the shot, but Ludvig Utter slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kasper Falkrans to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Borås AIK defense, Kasper Falkrans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gunnar Blomqvist. The Borås AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gunnar Blomqvist should have stopped the shot. Kasper Falkrans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stellan Beneth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gunnar Blomqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Borås AIK getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Linus Helberg hit a great ball. Gunnar Blomqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasper Falkrans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stellan Beneth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Blomqvist having to interfere. If Kasper Falkrans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borås AIK's Gunnar Blomqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Falkrans in the 77th minute of play. Gunnar Blomqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasper Falkrans, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Borås AIK's Gunnar Blomqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Falkrans in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Kasper Falkrans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gunnar Blomqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Gunnar Blomqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasper Falkrans, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
