Pigga Pågar BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mats Lövkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Palm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Lars Svartengren came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Pigga Pågar BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Svartengren couldn't finish the play. After 25 played minutes Lars Svartengren rounded Fjärdhundra's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Tim Tomasson struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Alejo Bonadona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fjärdhundra. With an all-out effort, Pigga Pågar BK's Valdemar Palm threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Peter Bergren, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 42nd match minute, Pigga Pågar BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Sandwall to maneuver through the defense. Lars Svartengren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Valdemar Palm when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

Pigga Pågar BK's Karl-Magnus Nilsson was substituted for Tim Hermansson. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tim Tomasson to make the kick off. Valdemar Palm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Bergqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdemar Palm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Svartengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute.
