Spectators: 7091 (Terracing: 5541, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Olof Thorsberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olof Thorsberg in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Morgan Fredriksson saved Helgum IF from getting behind. Olof Thorsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Morgan Fredriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Michel Pil took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Morgan Fredriksson to make any attempt to save it. Ingemar Näfver kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Karl-Magnus Stabbe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olof Thorsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Helgum IF getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Kevin Brummer hit a great ball. Karl-Magnus Stabbe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Hellsing having to make a save. Isaac Tunander's late challenge caught a Garphyttan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaac Tunander helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Helgum IF's Isaac Tunander got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 28 minutes, Ingemar Näfver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garphyttan and the Helgum IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Peter Hellsing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sune Sander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Olof Thorsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morgan Fredriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Pil struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Morgan Fredriksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garphyttan. Peter Hellsing came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Helgum IF's Karl-Magnus Stabbe. But to his dismay, Karl-Magnus Stabbe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olof Thorsberg in the 45th minute of play forced Helgum IF's goalkeeper Morgan Fredriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After some careless play in the Garphyttan defense, Sune Sander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peter Hellsing. The Garphyttan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peter Hellsing should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute, Olof Thorsberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Morgan Fredriksson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. If Olof Thorsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sten Säf blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Morgan Fredriksson having to make a save. Morgan Fredriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Thorsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Morgan Fredriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof Thorsberg in the 74th minute of play. In the 80th minute of the match, Sune Sander got a very nice opportunity to score, but Peter Hellsing was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Morgan Fredriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mårtensson in the 83rd minute of the match. Morgan Fredriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Thorsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Garphyttan booed when Helgum IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Tunander didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Kevin Mårtensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garphyttan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Mårtensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute Olof Thorsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morgan Fredriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garphyttan's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
