Spectators: 6669 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Peter Dahlberg started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Sixten Klementsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 3rd match minute, Vartofta FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Söderkvist to maneuver through the defense. Roy Sundström hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Vilgot Tunström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. The tension between the Strumprullarnas BK and the Vartofta FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vilgot Tunströms short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Stig-Arne Löv to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 19 played minutes Strumprullarnas BK got a freekick which was hit by Hans Thidén. Strumprullarnas BK's Stig-Arne Löv played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Dahlberg in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Strumprullarnas BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dag Kvarnström to maneuver through the defense. Vilgot Tunström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Sixten Klementsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Strumprullarnas BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Malcolm Palmkvist to make the kick off. If Vilgot Tunström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 54th minute, Dag Kvarnström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig-Arne Löv showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Tunström, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Stig-Arne Löv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Dahlberg in the 62nd minute of play. Stig-Arne Löv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Dahlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 played minutes Strumprullarnas BK got a freekick which was hit by Hans Thidén. After 74 played minutes, Vartofta FF's Göran Granberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stig-Arne Löv came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vartofta FF reached it. Malcolm Palmkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingemar Vedholm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Sixten Klementsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ingemar Vedholm made a huge save. It was beautiful to see Strumprullarnas BK's Måns Eckegren in action when he in the 94th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Sixten Klementsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Strumprullarnas BK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vartofta FF throughout the match.
