Jörgen Forsman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sverker Åman in the 3rd minute of play. If Olof Bröms had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the game, Stigen BK's Olof Bröms nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Greger Granberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Emil Liljeström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Örebro Albions's Sverker Åman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jörgen Forsman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Örebro Albions! Jörgen Forsman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sakarias Bergqvist in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Sakarias Bergqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Örebro Albions fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Olof Bröms received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Greger Granberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sakarias Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 47 minutes, Emil Liljeström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stigen BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emil Liljeström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Greger Granberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olof Bröms in the 54th minute of the match. Christian Kuse kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Olof Bröms hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stigen BK's Olof Bröms got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olof Bröms in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Greger Granberg saved Örebro Albions from getting behind. Jörgen Forsman came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Örebro Albions's Sverker Åman. But to his dismay, Sverker Åman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Sakarias Bergqvist struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Jörgen Forsman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Örebro Albions. The supporters of Stigen BK booed when Örebro Albions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Hägg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emil Liljeström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Greger Granberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Emil Liljeström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sverker Åman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jörgen Forsman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jörgen Forsman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakarias Bergqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
