After 19 played minutes Skillingsfors got a freekick which was hit by Adam Berg. Tord Hellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Sandström in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vidar Vacker in the 23rd minute of play forced Ljusterö IK's goalkeeper Gunnar Ahlstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Sandström struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Tord Hellkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ljusterö IK. In the 46th match minute, Ljusterö IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conny Helander to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Ljusterö IK's goalkeeper Gunnar Ahlstedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnny Bergström.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stefan Sandström was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Ljusterö IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Erik Gunnarsson to maneuver through the defense. If Vidar Vacker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petter Pilgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Tord Hellkvist made a huge save.
