A collision led to Åmotfors BF getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Sakarias Österlund hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Hällestad's Pontus Bergsten ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jesper Sjöberg. Jesper Sjöberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Robin Tomasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Åmotfors BF's Jon Josefsson got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pontus Bergsten in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesper Sjöberg saved Åmotfors BF from getting behind. When Stig-Arne Zander fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällestad's protests and gave Stig-Arne Zander a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Åmotfors BF booed when Hällestad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Arne Zander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hällestad's Sven Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Josefsson in the 29th minute of play. Pontus Bergsten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jesper Sjöberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pontus Bergsten who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Jesper Sjöberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pontus Bergsten struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Jesper Sjöberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hällestad. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pontus Bergsten to strike the kick off in the second half. Sakarias Österlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 52nd minute, Stig-Arne Zander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesper Sjöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pontus Bergsten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hällestad were furious when Dick Springfält was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 57 minutes into the game, one of Hällestad:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Åmotfors BF a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Manfred Gulliksson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hällestad's Sven Hellström. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Hällestad's Karl-Magnus Sjöberg got a free kick in the 65th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Hällestad's goal looked a bit too open when Jon Josefsson came free, but Sven Hellström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hällestad's Sven Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Josefsson in the 80th minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Hällestad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Magnus Sjöberg to maneuver through the defense. Hällestad's Jonny Larsfelt got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the game, Karl-Magnus Sjöberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Jesper Sjöberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Karl-Magnus Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesper Sjöberg having to interfere. Joakim Lägdin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesper Sjöberg having to make a save. Åmotfors BF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Hällestad had controlled the match.
