Albert Vesterberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Albert Vesterberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Åke Ahlberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Västervik's Mathias Björck didn't even have to move. Ivar Östman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars-Erik Örtlund in the 18th minute of the match. Georg Öberg struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Ivar Östman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Västervik. Lars-Erik Örtlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivar Östman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Västervik's zone, Stefan Lundström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Björck came out of the goal and Stefan Lundström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Västervik's Georg Öberg got a free kick in the 25th minute. Lars-Erik Örtlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ivar Östman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Egon Linberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Björck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lars-Erik Örtlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Skokloster IFK's Ivar Östman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars-Erik Örtlund in the 32nd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Skokloster IFK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Västervik:s goal. In the 35th minute there was a penalty for Västervik. Torbjörn Wallmark stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ivar Östman. 0-1. Lars-Erik Örtlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. The tension between the Skokloster IFK and the Västervik players grew even worse after the yellow card. Västervik's Mathias Björck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egon Linberg in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Lundström in the 59th minute of play forced Västervik's goalkeeper Mathias Björck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens-Ove Böcklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivar Östman having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Lars-Erik Örtlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Västervik's Lars-Erik Örtlund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivar Östman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Skokloster IFK's Ivar Östman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars-Erik Örtlund in the 81st minute of play. Mathias Björck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Västervik played a much better game than Skokloster IFK and deserved their victory. The Skokloster IFK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
