Bandhagen Boys's Olle Svartengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Lundblad in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute Stig Klementsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Svartengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Walter Lundblad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erik Wållander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olle Svartengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Klementsson in the 20th minute of the match. Joachim Lundqvist received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jan Abelsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Joachim Lundqvist slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joachim Lundqvist was the one to do the kick off. Walter Lundblad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Olle Svartengren made a huge save. Jan Abelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Lundqvist in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bandhagen Boys's Leo Bollström got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Stig Klementsson fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Birka's protests and gave Stig Klementsson a yellow card for diving instead. Stig Klementsson hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Erik Wållander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Abelsson having to interfere. If Joachim Lundqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes, FC Birka's Stig Tinglöf shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olle Svartengren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Birka reached it. Olle Svartengren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walter Lundblad in the 92nd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Birka players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bandhagen Boys.
