Ludvig Svartengren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sture Nyström's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Fagersta getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Niclas Helberg hit a great ball. Håkan Hybbert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Lidberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Håkan Hybbert was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Rudolf Lidberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rudolf Lidberg really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Rudolf Lidberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niclas Helberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rudolf Lidberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Håkan Hybbert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudolf Lidberg made a kick off. Rudolf Lidberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Håkan Hybbert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fagersta's Ludvig Svartengren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Fagersta from getting a goal against them. After 64 minutes, Paul Sävström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fagersta and the Mjölby players grew even worse after the yellow card. Håkan Hybbert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Lidberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 76th minute, Stig-Arne Lindström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gösta Ekgren scored 4-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Håkan Hybbert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fagersta's Rudolf Lidberg managed to work through Mjölby's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rudolf Lidberg dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When Rudolf Lidberg came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Fagersta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rudolf Lidberg couldn't finish the play. Gösta Ekgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Gösta Ekgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fagersta's supporters rose to their feet, but Gösta Ekgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Håkan Hybbert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rudolf Lidberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Hybbert having to interfere.
