Gefle Hotspur FC's Marc Runberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Dahlqvist in the 27th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Boris Telin fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sparsör's protests and gave Boris Telin a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Sparsör got a freekick which was hit by Boris Telin. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Eddie Flink sped through Sparsör's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Axel Skoog. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malcolm Dahlqvist got free with Marc Runberg in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute, Eddie Flink ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Axel Skoog was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. If Rune Dalberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 played minutes Sparsör got a freekick which was hit by Paul Lange. Axel Skoog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Flink in the 88th minute of the match. Gefle Hotspur FC's Torsten Fribäck quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kjell-Arne Heggert, made in the 95th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the Gefle Hotspur FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
