Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jörn Fernkvist started the match with the kick off. Gunnar Stabbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gösta Nordin having to interfere. Gösta Nordin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harry Sundberg's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harry Sundberg in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gösta Nordin saved Sorsele BK from getting behind. In the 11th minute, Ingvar Ek made a precise shot to the right of Gösta Nordin. Sorsele BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gösta Nordin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Sundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Mjällby AIF's Ingvar Ek got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harry Sundberg struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Gösta Nordin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mjällby AIF. Tobias Nyström's late challenge caught a Mjällby AIF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Nyström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Tobias Nyström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Mjällby AIF's Gert Abrahamsson got control of the ball when Birger Pihlwall tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gösta Nordin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Ek, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Sorsele BK's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Ek came free, but Gösta Nordin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Ingvar Ek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gösta Nordin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Harry Sundberg came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Mjällby AIF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Sundberg couldn't finish the play. Sorsele BK's Gösta Nordin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Ek in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingvar Ek made a kick off. The supporters of Mjällby AIF booed when Sorsele BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birger Pihlwall didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingvar Ek in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gösta Nordin saved Sorsele BK from getting behind. Tobias Nyström kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes, Mjällby AIF's Adam Haström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gösta Nordin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mjällby AIF reached it. Harry Sundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gösta Nordin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Gösta Nordin managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Mjällby AIF's Harry Sundberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 81st match minute, Sorsele BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Nyström to maneuver through the defense. Sorsele BK's Gösta Nordin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Ek in the 86th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Sorsele BK got a freekick which was hit by Sune Sjöberg. When Jon Sjöberg fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sorsele BK's protests and gave Jon Sjöberg a yellow card for diving instead. Gösta Nordin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Ek in the 96th minute of play.
