The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefan Lundberg in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddie Hansson saved Ulvöhamn from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Stefan Lundberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ivar Häger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Freddie Hansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Brian Nyström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ulvöhamn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skelleftehamn the free kick. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ulvöhamn! Peter Igelström placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 28th minute Jonas Löfskog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Hansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Skelleftehamn's Stefan Lundberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Freddie Hansson. Freddie Hansson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Ivar Häger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Freddie Hansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stefan Lundberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Skelleftehamn's Ivar Häger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Freddie Hansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Freddie Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Lundberg in the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Lindman to make the kick off. If Ivar Häger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Hansson having to interfere. When Stefan Lundberg came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Skelleftehamn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Lundberg couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Jonas Löfskog left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skelleftehamn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Ulvöhamn's Freddie Hansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Odeen in the 68th minute of play. After 82 played minutes, Skelleftehamn's Peter Igelström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Freddie Hansson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Skelleftehamn reached it. Stefan Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Hansson having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ivar Häger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddie Hansson was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. 94 minutes into the match, Ulvöhamn's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Lundberg came free, but Freddie Hansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
