The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alf Vassenius during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute Timmy Browall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliot Arhenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Simon Wästerberg fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ljungby RK's protests and gave Simon Wästerberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Simon Wästerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Måns Gernberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Måns Gernberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Axelsson having to interfere. Mats Hellström hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Martin Axelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Måns Gernberg went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Elliot Arhenius successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Ljungby RK getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Simon Wästerberg hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timmy Browall got free with Elliot Arhenius in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Timmy Browall fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tjernas AIK's protests and gave Timmy Browall a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ljungby RK booed when Tjernas AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Browall didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Måns Gernberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ljungby RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Måns Gernberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ljungby RK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tjernas AIK for a fine match.
