Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 0) Kjell-Arne Hägg made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Emil Björklund in the 4th minute of play forced Haparanda's goalkeeper Hans Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute, Calle Stockton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Nils-Emil Björklund came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Gimo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils-Emil Björklund couldn't finish the play. Hans Paulin made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Calle Stockton sent off a good shot on target. Hans Paulin was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Torsten Myhr capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Torsten Myhr really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Gimo's Calle Stockton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hans Paulin. That made the score 2-0 after 15 minutes of play. Hans Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Stockton in the 24th minute of play. In the 26thth minute of the game Calle Stockton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haparanda's Hans Paulin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sven-Ove Berg might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Pettersson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sven-Ove Berg ran back to his position shaking his head. Calle Stockton in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hans Paulin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Calle Stockton struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Hans Paulin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimo. When Nils-Emil Björklund came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Gimo fans jumped to their feet. A hard shot 39 in the game by Calle Stockton from a close distance when the talented Hans Paulin managed to make a qualified save. Haparanda's players were relieved. Hans Paulin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calle Stockton's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calle Stockton in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hans Paulin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isak Rönn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hans Paulin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calle Stockton was the one to do the kick off. Calle Stockton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixten Axelsson in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Haparanda getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ernst Eriksson hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Haparanda's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Stockton came free, but Hans Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 played minutes Haparanda got a freekick which was hit by Ernst Eriksson. Calle Stockton struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Hans Paulin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimo. After a defensive mix-up in Haparanda's zone, Torsten Myhr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans Paulin came out of the goal and Torsten Myhr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calle Stockton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Hans Paulin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Calle Stockton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torsten Myhr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hans Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Stockton in the 85th minute of play. If Nils-Emil Björklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gimo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
