Spectators: 7364 (Terracing: 5524, Seating: 1693, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mark Karlsson started the match with the kick off. In the 19th minute, Rydebäck SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rune Malmström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mark Karlsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Martin Ström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Deje's Örjan Ahlroth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Kihlman in the 28th minute of play. In the 37th minute Mark Karlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Ström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Jan-Åke Sellberg in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deje's Birger Knutsson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Karlsson in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Ström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th match minute, Rydebäck SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Ekberg to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Åke Bållström hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Rydebäck SS's Patrik Ekberg tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute Marc Wahlström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Örjan Ahlroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Rydebäck SS getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Björn Brenner hit a great ball. Martin Ström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rune Malmström went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 76 minutes into the match, Mark Karlsson notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Rydebäck SS's Martin Ström. Martin Ström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th match minute, Rydebäck SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Åke Sellberg to maneuver through the defense. After 86 played minutes Deje got a freekick which was hit by Åke Bållström. Rydebäck SS's Patrik Ekberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Deje. The Deje fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Deje's Rune Malmström looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Rydebäck SS's zone, Rune Malmström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Ström came out of the goal and Rune Malmström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mark Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deje's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
