Spectators: 6479 (Terracing: 5479, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Varberg's Allan Blomqvist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Michel Fribäck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kenneth Jelm charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kenneth Jelm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kenneth Jelm kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaf Nordgren got free with Sven-Erik Stenman in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Blomqvist in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven-Erik Stenman saved Svartå FF from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Forsberg in the 18th minute of play forced FC Varberg's goalkeeper Bo Axelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Allan Blomqvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sven-Erik Stenman. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Fribäck in the 27th minute of play forced FC Varberg's goalkeeper Bo Axelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Allan Blomqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michel Fribäck in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bo Axelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustaf Nordgren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Sven-Erik Stenman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sven-Erik Stenman had great luck who in the 38thth minute grab hold of the ball when Allan Blomqvist from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in FC Varberg's zone, Sten Wallgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bo Axelsson came out of the goal and Sten Wallgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kenneth Jelm hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Jonathan Forsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Bo Axelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Michel Fribäck made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Sivert Strömbom shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven-Erik Stenman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Svartå FF's Michel Fribäck got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Forsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Axelsson having to interfere. Sven-Erik Stenman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Blomqvist's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Sivert Strömbom took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sven-Erik Stenman. Svartå FF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sten Wallgren kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Allan Blomqvist took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Erik Stenman. Sven-Erik Stenman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. FC Varberg's Bo Axelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Fribäck in the 84th minute of play. In the 86thth minute of the game Michel Fribäck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Varberg's Bo Axelsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 91 minutes into the match, FC Varberg's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Fribäck came free, but Bo Axelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, FC Varberg's goalkeeper Bo Axelsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Forsberg. FC Varberg's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
